KaiOS – The Emerging Mobile Operating System

iOS and Android have dominated the global market for mobile operating systems so far. But... 3 billion people have yet to get access to the internet. Many people of third world countries don't have a lot of money to spend on phones. So, what of operating system will their phones use?

Probably KaiOS. What is KaiOS? It's basically the operating system for mass market flip phones. App development will look a lot different on KaiOS due to the limitations inherent in the operating system and the environment.

Is it important to know how to make apps for KaiOS? Only if 3rd world countries are your app's target market. But it's certainly interesting to learn about either way.
